MARS ATTACKS - eine kurze Bandvorstellung:
Gegründet 1998, hat die österreichisch/schweizerische Band Ihre Debut CD/LP "...run for your life…" 1999 veröffentlicht. Darauf folgten 2000: "Snatch It & Grab It" (4-track vinyl EP), 2003: "Dirty Tricks" und 2006 dann das Konzeptalbum "Circle of Love" (CD/LP). Die aktuelle Killer-Scheibe “Follow Me!” (CD/LP auf Blue Lake Records, Switzerland) ist im Oktober 2008 erschienen!
Über die Jahre haben die Jungs in ganz Europa abgerockt, in Frankreich, Deutschland, Schweden, Holland, Italien, Spanien, Teneriffa, Portugal, Schweiz, Österreich und Belgien; zuletzt sogar in Moskau/Russland. Regelmässig zu Gast bei den grossen Festivals, wie beim Rockabilly Rave (Camber Sands UK), Hemsby Rock´n´Roll Weekender (England), Rockin' 50's Fest II & III (Greenbay, WI, USA), Rhythm Bound (Los Angeles, CA, USA). Auf USA Tour vom Süden bis Mittleren Westen, von der Ostküste bis zur Westküste.
Als Begleitband sind die “Marsmänner“ auch gerne gebucht, wie schon von SUN Records Legenden Sonny Burgess und Billy Lee Riley, und auch von Rock´n´Roll/Country Stars Narvel Felts und "Rockabilly Filly" Rosie Flores.
Die heisse Bühnenshow und das abwechslungsreiche Programm - bestehend aus vielen Eigenkompositionen (darunter auch die mittlerweile berühmt – berüchtigten Trompeten Kracher) und gut gewählten Rockabilly Fegern - lassen die Live Auftritte zum Erlebnis besonderer - um nicht zu sagen dritter- Art werden....

MARS ATTACKS (Switzerland/Austria) - A short band introduction:
Formed in 1998, this Austria/Swiss based band released their debut CD/LP "...Run For Your Life!" in 1999. They later released "Snatch It & Grab It" in 2000 (4-track vinyl EP), "Dirty Tricks" in 2003 (CD/LP), the concept album "Circle of Love" (CD/LP) in 2006, followed by their current release “FOLLOW ME!” (CD/LP on Blue Lake Records).
Over the years, the boys have been rockin' all over Europe. They recently added Moscow/Russia to their list. They've also made appearances at UK's Hemsby Rock n Roll Weekender & The Rockabilly Rave, USA's Rockin' 50's Fest II & III (WI), Rhythm Bound (CA) and toured all over the U.S.
They've backed up SUN Records legends Sonny Burgess & Billy Lee Riley as well as Narvel “The Marvel” Felts and "Rockabilly Filly" Rosie Flores.
Their stage show consists mostly of originals (including trumpet) and a selection of rockabilly classics. Each live performance is a special encounter – or should we say a special encounter of the third kind.
