The new social conscience is called “Do the Right Thing,” and it’s a classic song that conveys a message of hope to all of us. United we stand! With many years of singing and playing under his belt, Jackslacks is a true Rock and Roll Dinosaur. This singer/songwriter/musician has played hundreds of shows across the U.S.A. and shared the stage with rock and rollers including Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Stray Cats, The Blasters, NRBQ, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Junior Brown and others. The quality line-up of musicians who appear with Jackslacks on this record provide a solid wall of sound. Tracks include Tommy Byrnes on guitar (Billy Joel) and the ace studio production of bassist Lee Rocker (Stray Cats). The original songs on “Dinosaur” are both energetic and uniquely fun to listen to. With influences combining elements of the Blues in Heat Lightning, Sun Rockabilly sounds on Bank Account’s Too Small, the Country twang of (Ain’t) Nothin’ Shakin’, and the early Rock and Roll arrangements in Baja Baby and Too Much Fun, this CD is the complete retail and radio ready package. Having previously received good press from the Detroit News, LA Times and Blue Suede News Magazine, Jackslacks looks to fully arrive in 2002. Residing in Charleston, West Virginia since 1996 and loyal to vintage Ludwig drums, he someday would like to elevate his Shield of Love Productions to provide shelter, employment assistance and counseling to those less fortunate. “It is my dream to be able to help our society stand up and battle the three “dregs” that plague our culture; the homeless, unemployed and alcohol and drug addicted.” God Bless you! Jackslacks
